PRE SEASON

Shush PT have trainers in the London SW area ready to get your club match fit by Game 1 of next season.

The sessions whilst being sport specific will not focus on drill, skills or tactics, but will focus on the following 5 key areas.

CARDIOVASCULAR FITNESS

Predominately the main focus of pre-season training is to bring player fitness back up to match ready standard after the post-season break.

Our training program will challenge both Aerobic and Anaerobic systems incorporating the cross over between the two, with all exercises designed to mimic match play.

PLYOMETRICS

Plyometric movements uses the strength, elasticity and innervation of a muscle and surrounding tissues to jump higher, run faster, throw farther, or hit harder, depending on the desired training goal.

We use Plyometric training techniques to increase the speed or force of muscular contractions, providing explosiveness in sport.

PROPRIOCEPTION

Proprioceptive training improves player strength, coordination, muscular balance, and muscle-reaction times. Two new studies also link proprioceptive work with a reduced risk of injury during sporting activity.

We use proprioceptive training techniques to improves a players agility during play, which could ultimately be the difference between the fine line of winning and losing.

DEVELOPMENTAL STRETCHING

During the off season it is common for players to lose flexibility without regular training which can often result in early season injuries as players launch back into playing. This is obviously detrimental to the player, team and club alike. We therefore ensure each that we run through a range of dynamic stretches to begin each session and developmental stretches to finish each session.

We have found this has also help instil a program of correct stretching for teams before and after matches during the season.

TEAM BONDING

Our coaches will ensure players are constantly mixed up during the exercises, pairing new and old members, different ages and teams together.

The feedback we have received from previous years is that it a fantastic way for clubs to come together and welcome new members into the club allowing them to get to know as many people in a short period of time.
